An original sumi-e woodblock print on washi paper by Katsushika Hokusai, "Happy Drunk Chinese Warriors at the Wine Vats." From The Illustrated Book of Chinese Verses, Shichigon-ritsu, 5 volumes, Volume III, dated Tempo 7/ 1836, 1st Edition, poems and text translated by Taki Ranzan. Publisher Kobayashi Shinbei, Edo. Signed Zen Hokusai Iitsu. Very rare.

Condition: Good condition. A pair of small wormholes in the top margin of the print have been repaired from behind with small scraps of the same washi paper. The holes do not intrude below the upper border line into the print.
