Maiko Preparing Coiffure by Natori Shunsen (Japan, 1886-1960). A beautiful portrait of a Maiko preparing her hair for the evening. Design is printed with an exquisite mica background. One of three Bijin-ga prints designed by Natori Shunsen who was most well known for his emotional portraits of kabuki actors. Limited edition numbered 113 of 150. Published in 1928 by The S. Watanabe Color Print Co. Illustrated: Shunsen, pl. 121.
