Spring by Yoshisuke Funasaka (Japan, 1939). Contemporary Japanese woodblock print. From the series "Four Seasons of Lemons", each depicting one of the 4 different seasons. Yoshisuke is known to incorporate the theme of lemons into many of his works. In Blakemore's book, the artist stated,"I like the taste, I like the smell, I like the color - it represents freshness.".
Condition: Very good color and impression. Slight handling marks. Very small slight bumps to 3 areas of the paper (by the lemons and below the sun.
