Starlit Night Miyajima by Kawase Hasui (Japan, 1883-1957). Original Japanese woodblock print depicting the Itsukushima Floating Torii Gate at Miyajima island under the beautiful night sky. Accented by the glow of a lantern. From the series Sourvenirs of Travel, Third Series. Published 1928 by S. Watanabe. Reference No: Hotei #140.
Size: 15 -1/4" h x 10 -1/4" w.
Condition: Mint, with superb colors.Provenance: From a private collection. For the past 30 years the prints were properly stored away; never being framed or displayed. The majority of the collection showcases rarely seen MINT colors; several far exceeding numerous examples seen in prior collections.
