The Boat in the Storm by Sadao Watanabe. Dated 1985 Japanese sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print). Set against a light white background. Pencil signed by the artist, with artist chop mark, in the bottom left hand corner. Sadao Watanabe used traditional Japanese folk-art techniques and a limited palette of natural pigments to depict Christian themes.
Size: 13" h x 9" w
Condition: Very good. Some slight damage to bottom of paper.
