Moss No 3 by Masaji Yoshida (Japan). A serene, yet powerful print by noted Sosaku Hanga Japanese woodblock printmaker Masaji Yoshida. Limited edition numbered 50 of 100. Signed in English and Kanji by the artist. Dated 1958.
Size: 18" h x 12" w (image); 25" h x 19" w (framed)
Condition: Excellent color and impression. No fading, toning or foxing to the print. The colors are strong and vibrant. The print had been previously framed and has a number condition issues to the verso. The print had been glued to a backing that was removed which has left the paper somewhat soft on the verso. There are a number of areas on the verso where the print has some skinning from the removal of the backing and a few minor creases in sections of the image and in the margins. The print was reframed using archival materials including: Acid and lignin free Crescent "White Elephant" 8-ply mat, as well as Museum Glass "True Vue" 99% UV protected.
