Shono by Ando Hiroshige from the 53 Stations of the Tokaido Road series. Dated to the early part of the 19th century. Marked with the artist signature and publishers mark on the woodblock print. This is a rare early Hiroshige woodblock print. Found safely stored away for years at a 90 year estate.
Size: 15 1/16" w x 10 5/16" h
Condition: Average for age. Excellent colors. Corner wear. A couple of pieces have torn off. Soil spot on the left edge. Edges glued to thick board.
