  • Country House by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Beautiful Japanese woodblock print featuring a rural traditional house with a yellow budding tree in the background. Rendered in saturated colors and bold lines. It is pencil signed and titled. Numbered 105/500 and also 478 in the lower left corner. Hinged within paper matting.

    This print originally came from the personal collection of Roland Hummel. Hummel was an RPI engineering professor, famous for his collaboration with the important American sculptor, George Rickey. Professor Hummel designed and fabricated the engineering components of Rickey's kinetic sculptures. 

    Size: Matting measures 19 1/8" x 14 1/4" with an interior view of 15 1/2" x 15 3/4". The paper is 17 1/8" x 12 1/2" and the actual print is 14 15/16" x 10 1/4"
    Condition: Excellent. Minor evidence of toning and mild wrinkling to the border.
