  • Gion in Kyoto by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Gion is a district of Kyoto, Japan, originally developed in the Middle Ages, in front of Yasaka Shrine. The district was initially built to accommodate the needs of travelers and visitors to the shrine. It eventually evolved to become one of the most exclusive and well-known geisha districts in all of Japan. This print was purchased by the original owner in 1975 while in Japan. Print dates to the early 1970's. Limited edition numbered 209 of 500. Pencil signed and titled by the artist.

    Condition: Excellent. Vivid colors and image. The print is in its original folder and has never been framed or displayed.
