Rain by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Beautiful Japanese woodblock print featuring rural cottages in a rain storm. Rendered in saturated colors and bold lines. It is pencil signed and titled. Numbered 25/500 and also 6 in the lower left corner. Hinged within matting.

Originally came from the Upstate New York estate and personal collection of Roland Hummel. Hummel was an RPI engineering professor, famous for his collaboration with the important American sculptor, George Rickey. Professor Hummel designed and fabricated the engineering components of Rickey's kinetic sculptures.

Size: Matting measures 25" x 20" with an interior view of 19" x 13 1/2". The paper is 20 3/4" x 14 7/8" and the actual print is 18 3/8" x 12 1/2".
Condition: Excellent. Minor evidence of toning and light wrinkling to the border.
